Breaking Through at the 2nd Traditional Southern Lion King Championship
From 14 to 15 June 2026, our team took part in the 2nd Traditional Southern Lion King Championship (第二届传统南狮狮王争霸赛) at KSL Esplanade Mall, Klang.
Traditional southern lion competition is the purest test of the art: stances, footwork, expression, and the seamless coordination between head and tail. There are no shortcuts, only the fundamentals performed under pressure.
As we posted after the finals: 恭喜团队再次突破自己！关关难过关关过. The team broke through its own limits once again. Every hurdle felt impossible until we crossed it.
Competition is not just about the moments on stage. The preparation, the rituals of respect before each performance, and the discipline of the days leading up to it are all part of what makes lion dance a living tradition.
